Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital is a small community hospital that does big things to help people. Our two hospital units specialize in caring for medically complex patients with a similar acuity to a medical surgical or telemetry unit. With our population typically staying for 2-3 weeks, caregivers see the same patients make progress over time.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

In the role of an expert clinical nurse, educator and consultant, provides direct care; assessment, planning and evaluation to patients. Serves in a teaching capacity and supervises and supports staff in critical care activities. Promotes excellence in nursing practice by setting and evaluating practice standards.

PREREQUISITES

  • Current Massachusetts advanced practice nursing license
  • 5 years experience in ICU/CCU and medical surgical nursing setting
  • Previous experience in a hospital preferred
  • CPR certified
  • ACLS certification highly desirable
