Differentials: $6 for weekday; $8 for weekend

Essential Functions:
- Supervises and evaluates all direct resident care and initiates corrective action as necessary
- Provides clinical supervision of nursing assistants and Licensed Practical Nurse providing direct resident care
- Prepares nursing assistants' assignments and explains all pertinent resident care
- Supervises response to resident' calls for assistance and responds to call lights as necessary
- Insures that all physician renewal orders and documentation is timely and appropriate
- Obtains report from nurse he/she is relieving and records sufficient information to implement appropriate follow up action as necessary
- Conducts resident rounds, reporting problems to nursing supervisor and initiating corrective action
- Identified resident problems and emergency situations, and initiates immediate "life saving" measures within the scope of nursing practice and in accordance with advance directives
- Administers and documents medications, enteral nutrition, and treatments per the physician's order and accurately records all care provided and observations daily
- Renders immediate assistance to any resident in need
- Provides intravenous therapy according to facility policy and procedures
- Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing
- Current license in Massachusetts as RN
- Knowledge of geriatric nursing requires
- Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support in accordance with American Heart Association or America Red Cross standards required
- Knowledge of growth and development across the life span
