Evening Pharmacist - Long-Term Acute Care Hospital
Part-Time Position | 32 Hours per Week
Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our team in a part-time evening role. This position offers the opportunity to provide specialized pharmaceutical care to patients requiring extended medical treatment in a collaborative healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Clinical Pharmacy Services:
Practice pharmacy in full compliance with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy regulations and standards
Review, interpret, and accurately prepare physician-ordered medications with attention to complex patient needs
Manage medication refill processes and floor stock replenishment to ensure continuous patient care
Provide expert consultation to physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams on drug interactions, adverse reactions, dosing protocols, and IV compatibility
Specialized Care Expertise:
Apply specialized knowledge in geriatric and adolescent rehabilitation pharmacy practices
Adapt communication and patient interaction approaches based on age-specific and developmental considerations
Collaborate effectively with patients, families, visitors, and staff members across all age groups
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred)
Current Massachusetts Registered Pharmacist license in good standing
Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to patient safety
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
Minimum 12 months of experience in geriatric/adolescent rehabilitation hospital pharmacy. New graduates may be considered based upon relevant past experiences
Experience in long-term acute care or similar healthcare settings
Knowledge of specialized medication management for extended-stay patients
